Busy Kids

Carson and Audrey both ran the Salt Lake City Kids Marathon in April 2007. It was a 1K and ended at the same place as the full Marathon. It was so fun to see them run so hard and have fun.

This is Audrey in her first year on a soccer team. She really had fun and was quite good at stealing the ball and getting shots on goal. She got a goal her second game. Way to go Audrey!

Get ready - Carson is a self appointed King. Here he is ruling over his subjects. I had no idea this was going on in our kitchen until I walked in upon it. I had to take a picture to show Chad.

This is Kate getting ready to crawl into mischief. She is a very busy and happy baby. She loves her mom, though. She will make eye contact and smile at everyone, but they better not hold her. She looks friendlier than she is.

Here We Go

We're the Iverson family. This picture was taken in May 2007 at Bryce Canyon National Park. Left to right: Kate (11 mo), Sherry, Carson (3 yrs), Chad and Audrey (5 yrs).

We hiked and camped at Bryce on Thursday, Friday and Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. This was fun and rejuvenating for our whole family. The kids loved playing in the soft sand-like dirt at our campsite. We also loved the swimming pool.



Carson and Audrey were very excited to find "Saurus Rock" among the Hoodoos of Bryce Canyon. "Saurus Rock" is a rock formation that looks like a "long neck" dinosaur. Since we are "Land Before Time" movie lovers, the kids naturally found similarities between this fascinating National Park and the time of dinosaurs.

We went to "A Day Out with Thomas" on Memorial Day. Carson was very excited to see the "real" Thomas. We took a ride and got Thomas tattoos. Since Thomas only comes once a year, the kids have been looking forward to it for about 8 months.

Our last picture was taken on Ensign Peak on Memorial Day. It was a quick hike up (though steep), and the view was fabulous. Carson and Audrey are quick good hikers. Carson practically ran the whole way up!
