These are the before and after pictures of my favorite April project!! We got window well liners for our basement windows. They were so gross before, and now look at them!! I just love them. I have wanted to do this ever since we finished our basement, 8 years ago. A small little dream come true :)
Here is a photo tour of our spring break trip to Washington DC. We had such a great trip! It was the height of the Cherry Blossoms, and so wonderful. Here we are in front of the White House. We didn't get to tour it, but we tried.
Here we are at the WW2 memorial. It was pretty cool and the kids hung around in this fountain for quite a while. The girls took tons of pictures and I explained to Graham about the war.
Lincoln. We sat and read all the quotes on the walls around him. They are from his speeches. What a great man. He is so fascinating. I would have loved meeting him.
We happened upon Martin Luther King on our journey over to the Jefferson Memorial. The beautiful cherry blossoms in the tidal basin. It was a windy day - but beautiful. The Jefferson Memorial is in the background.
This is the Library of Congress. What a beautiful building. Audrey and Chad left the rest of us and got special permission to research something in the stacks. Audrey says it was one of her favorite things we did.
This is the ceiling of the capital building. This was my favorite tour. We were taken around by a staffer of the John Curtis office. They were very nice to us. It was so cool to be in the very places were Congress and the Supreme Court meet. WOW.
Chad and Ronald Reagan.
This is the view from the Kennedy Center. We saw a show here and while we were waiting, we saw a beautiful sunset over the DC skyline.
Mount Vernon - They changed the house color from white to beige, so it was a little confusing. I love learning more about Washington and walking around his grounds and through his large museum. It was very interactive and we could have spent many hours there.
The Smithsonian Air and Space Museum.
The Smithsonian Museum of American History
Arlington National Cemetery
Changing of the guard.
Holocaust Museum
The Bureau of Printing and Engraving - Graham with $1,000,000.
Central Station on our last night.
The National Archives - we saw the original Declaration of Independence, Constitution, and many other important documents like the Magna Carta. Very cool!
Then we were back home. Graham was playing baseball, Audrey was going to Prom with RJ.
Jordan River Open house - Kate and Graham and I visited together.
Audrey in second place in the 1600 Meter at the Davis Invitational. She lost ground and ended near the back. Below is the 800 M. She is trying hard this year.

We added an addition to our driveway, because Audrey is a new driver, WITH A CAR, and needs a parking spot. We also got a basketball standard for some killer basketball games in the driveway. Fun times!!
